Description

This camera was designed to fit into the NewBeeDrone BeeBrain V2 mount although the lens does protrude slightly out from the mount bumpers. All in all, this camera inside the NewBeeDrone BeeBrain V2 mount is the best combination of image quality per gram and mounting durability we could find for small, light platforms.

"Pretty solid camera Good video Good feed"

Ting W. (5/5)

Great cam

"Awesome camera for a whoop build! Hadn’t built too many analog quads, but this one was super easy to throw on my whoop when my cam died! Picture quality is some of the best I’ve seen out of my three analog builds!"

Sean M. (5/5)

Great whoop camera!

"Great whoop camera. Not the lightest for whoops but the image is best in my opinion."

Chris L. (5/5)

Works great no mounting screw

"Works great no mounting screw holes though"

Jimmy H. (3/5)

Great price

"Can beat the price for the quality of this camera"

blake s. (5/5)

The best looking camera I’ve used.

"Tiny and looks great, longer than some of the whoop nanos if that’s an issue. May save weight to get the mount version, after gluing in it may not save weight"

Keegan M. (5/5)

Not the best camera ever,

"Not the best camera ever, but a amazing little camera for the weight"

This version of the caddx

"This version of the caddx ant is just as good quality wise as the original. Looks just as good. The only complaint I have is that there is no way to mount it with screws. I had to print a little mount out of tpu."

Good and Bad, 4:3 is good, 16:9 has defect beware!

"So I was filming some fire performers with my tiny whoop, and it looks amazing, super gritty lo-fi analog look with all the glithces, I was using a crappy c01 betafpv camera at the time. So I started looking at better options and low light capabilities, and noticed the caddx Ant has a 0.001lux rating, so I figured, PERFECT I'll buy a bunch and shoot some more fire performer people and it will be great and even at 16:9 ratio woo hoo! Well I was LET DOWN, first of all, the 4:3 camera is pretty good in the daytime, its better than most actually, but when you get it into a low light situation, its WORSE than most cheezy fpv no-name cams, you get terrible noisy banding and flickering that can be fixed only slightly by using the OSD settings menu and lowering the sharpness to zero and the noise reduction up a bit. You will want to play with these settings, but I wouldn't say this camera is a "low light" camera by any means, it can handle daytime just fine. The 16:9 version will not adjust settings in the OSD menu without glitching out. I believe this is a defect, and RDQ was nice and even sent me a free one to replace the one I thought was defect, but the second one has the same defect, In fact its the 3rd one, because I had another 16:9 from amazon that was also defective, A friend of mine also bought a Caddx Ant 16:9 with the same defect. When I asked caddx about the defect on facebook, they said its just "not supported on 16:9 version" then they ghosted me after I posted pictures from their website where it says "OSD SUPPORT". Forewarning, don't buy the 16:9 version if you want settings, its fine if you don't care about an oversharp and slightly flickery image at low light. The search continues for a lightweight sub 2 gram low light camera with settings!"

Q&A

Will this fit into the Mobula8 analog?
Yes, you may need some mounting tape depending on canopy, but Happy Model X12 FC and that cam are compatible.
