The HD Zero Race VTX is a digital HD 720p 60fps video transmitter capable of delivering up to 200mw on 5.8GHz. It works with the Shark Byte RX5.1 goggle module to transmit video, and with a remote controller to wirelessly control the parameters for the transmitter and camera.

A great new technology

"This is a well thought through transmitter. It was easy to integrate into my existing stack and setup was straight forward in betaflight. I did have some issues with smartaudio glitching. The video signal is very sharp and is significantly better than my previous analog setup. The 200mW power doesn’t provide as much range as I’d hope but it’s sufficient for my usual flight locations I just don’t have room on my build for the more powerful version. Definitely do yourself a favor and spend a little more money for better antennas, you’ll thank yourself later."

Good short-mid range vtx.

"Works great...image is very clear compared to analog. Penetration behind objects not that good though, and better for mostly open areas. Video distance is very good for only 200mw. I usually fly within a few hundred meters, and in that distance the video is solid, with only occasional snowflaking. Hdzero hardware is very prone to damage, so be extra gentle with the board, camera, and cable. But if you're careful installing, you'll be greeted with great clarity and detail, and have more confidence when flying through tight spots and light scraggle. Enjoy the new technology- I switched most of my quads over to HDZero already. Now, if they would add a mic for motor sound ......would be a complete system."

Work great

"I've ordered a v3 in the past from another vendor and it seemed to have an issue powering the 90fps cam. These do well with it and no issues just have to set on 60fps with the 90cam and it work's great with a great view. Just have better luck with these. They say the v3 has been modified not to have the same issue."
