Unlike filters that are primarily made for the Avata,  the Camera Butter O3 filters and lens protectors are specially made for the O3 unit and the FPV use case. This means:

  • They fit tighter and stay on better than other filters
  • They are made to fit into a narrower space
  • They have little "wings" on the top and bottom to make them easier to remove
  • You can turn them 90 degrees and use the horizontally for extra space on the top and bottom

Due to the design of the O3 camera, continually inserting and removing filters can eventually wear away the plastic, which can mean a looser fit over time.  Unlike other O3 filters (even ones that look almost exactly the same!), the aluminum frame on this filter is carefully contoured to reduce sharp edges to reduce the wear on your camera.  This is a labor-intensive process, but significantly decreases damage to your expensive camera.

    These filters also act as a lens protector that can protect your camera lens when your drone has a severe crash. The UV filter can protect your lens while you fly indoors or at dusk, providing pilots with clearer footage.
