Fixed wings are a great intro to RC planes. They typically have fewer moving parts, but still, go over the fundamentals of working with servos and control surfaces. The sleek design makes them easy to keep track of in flight, and even see what direction they are traveling in. The size of a wing will change how nimble it can be, however, all wings can change course fairly rapidly with the bank and yank technique.
