Description

For those just starting out with FPV drones and on a budget, BabyApe Ⅱ is a great choice. It builds on the design of the first generation of BabyApe, but with a higher spec and only a small price increase, making it the perfect starter drone for the cost-conscious flyer.

DarwinFPV has always been committed to designing cost-effective FPV drone. They have accepted feedback from pilots, solved the problems that pilots are most concerned about, and brought better products to everyone who uses them. Adhering to these beliefs, DarwinFPV brings BabyApe Ⅱ.

Check out our other pre-built quads, as well as the rest of our DarwinFPV selection

Features

  • Compared with similar products of other brands, BabyApe Ⅱ only sells for $139.99, which once again perfectly reflects the super high-cost performance;
  • It comes with 1504 motors and 3.5-inch propellers, the power is stronger and the response speed is faster;
  • The camera and stack are protected by glue potting, which effectively prevents the risk of damage due to contact with metal particles, fine sand, gravel, weeds or dew, and the entire electronic system is more reliable and durable;
  • The addition of a buzzer and extra LED lights is extremely beneficial for beginners, who frequently confront circumstances such as over-discharge the battery and locating drones due to mistakes that lead the drone to crash;
  • The independent action camera base can be used with naked GoPro, thumb camera, etc. to record amazing images during flight at 4K/60 frames.

    "Good"

    James (5/5)

    One of the best micros

    "Loving this bird from RDQ. Tho darwin uses some lower quality parts, with a few upgrades, they fly really good and their full potential unlocked. This is a great 4S micro!"

    German D. (5/5)

    Love it

    "Love it but want to upgrade the motors"

    Donald P. (5/5)

    Worked well at first but had to replace motors

    "Flew fine right out of the box but had one motor go bad after only a week or so. I went ahead and replaced all 4 motors with better ones. Flies even better after replacing the motors so maybe a blessing in disguise. Still new to the hobby so I'm not sure if there is anything better for a similar price but overall I was not unhappy with the purchase."

    Gesse P. (3/5)

    Great little quad

    "I like it except it makes a wierd ticking sound as I roll and flip I cant figure out why but other than that it's an awesome quad"

    Chris W. (5/5)

    "Everything about it is great so far! One thing i'd recommend is going for the one with the RX included because soldering one in really sucked and I didn't save any money by doing so."

    Anthony (5/5)

    Some flaws

    "The drone its self is great. It’s tune is good and rather durable, I’ve crashed it a number of times and besides bending props I’ve still yet to break any thing my only complaint so far was that for the first month or so the OSD for some reason was refreshing ridiculously slowly with out any expansion. Eventually it fixed it’s self somehow and has been an amazing BNF since."

    Sasha K. (4/5)

    Like it a lot

    "I am used to flying tiny whoop inside and 5” outside, so bit of a learning curve for me. Really fun, I would recommend to anyone looking for a small drone to fly!!"

    kevin s. (5/5)

    Fragile

    "Micro USB fell off before the cable was even seated. Very weak connection."

    Brayden W. (2/5)

    Great quality

    "Super easy browsing and ordering. Wonderful tech support and super neat/tidy packages. RDQ has to be one if the best fpv stores around."

    Aquiles L. (5/5)

    Q&A

    When is the 4s version of baby ape 2 going to be In stock
    4-6 weeks as they are having issues obtaining VTX chips for the BNFs.
    Is this in stock? It says preorder but also in stock?
    No, Darwin is in transit and should be here in the next 3-4 weeks.
    Hi- what goggles that would work with this machine? If i order the version with receiver, is it installed or do i need to install? If I need to install, does it require soldering? can gps display be added, showing altitude, speed, direction? does the quad have settings for degree of stability/responsiveness? thank you
    any analog goggle will work for you.
