Description

The Happymodel OVX300 VTX is based on the Open source project OpenVTX powered by JyeSmith from the EpxressLRS team. Open VTX aims to provide firmware with both the SmartAudio and Tramp protocols. Either protocol can be used on the flight controller and on VTx power up the protocol used is automatically detected by OpenVTx.

Reviews

OVX300

"Have not had much chance to fly, but did connect and power up and display out of the box without much fuss."

Steve W. (5/5)

Light little strong vtx

"Great little VTX, at this point if it has a happy model name you can bet it will perform!"

Reed C. (5/5)

"By far my favorite analog VTX for tiny whoops and smaller racing quads!"

Sean (5/5)

Works great

"Reception is good and I am pleased with this VTX."

Brent S. (5/5)

Light

"Great replacement for when an internal vtx on my whoop burns out and I like that it’s lightweight. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the solder pads are really close and the soldering is pretty frustrating"

Mason N. (4/5)

Great signal small soldering pads

"Great signal small soldering pads but doable!"

brad w. (5/5)

Great price

"Easy setup great signal"

blake s. (5/5)

Decent range, good for whoops and toothpicks.

"These are great little vtxs. I bought 8 of them to put on my x12 boards when the onboard vtx goes out. Setup is fairly simple, Really small points to solder on to though."

Christian M. (5/5)

A Tiny Whoop Standard

"Excellent performane and penetration and it is lightweight. This is a must for whoop racers. I've purchased several and they've never given me any issue. My only complaint is the tiny solder pads. It definitely takes some skill to solder to."

Wesley W. (5/5)

Great alternative for the TBS pro nano32

"Half the price. Same weight. Only downside is the tiny solder pads"

Levi G. (5/5)

Q&A

Will this work on a 5 inch build with Speedybee f405?
It would be a bit under powered for a 5" build but yes it will work. Just be careful of the input voltage. Use a bec to regulate the voltage going to the vtx as it is not meant for higher voltage.
