Description

RDQ is proud to present the Lipo Killer! The Lipo Killer discharges old or damaged batteries you wish to dispose of down to 0v. This eliminates all charge from the battery and makes the pack safe to dispose. The Lipo Killer Discharger can take 1-3 days to discharge a pack depending on the battery's charge, and does so at a safe rate of discharge. The discharger works for any cell lipo at any charge.

To use, simply attach the Lipo Killer to the XT60 battery lead of the battery. The light will turn on, indicating the battery is being discharged. When the light turns off, the battery is fully discharged and safe to be disposed of.

We also have a version which brings the lipo to storage voltage, you can find that here.

Note: RDQ is not responsible for accidental use of the discharger (ie you kill a battery you did not mean to kill). Additionally, we are not responsible for damage caused by any of our products, and using this product within a fireproof container on a fireproof surface is always recommended.

Reviews

Lipo Discharger

"I buy cheapo lipos so when one stops giving what it should I drop them off for recycling at Lowe's, but until now I have not had a way to discharge them flat first. These items are supposed to do that. I have had them on some batteries now for days and the lights have not gone out. They seem to be working, but very slow on large batteries."

One of those “great to have” things

"Provides a safe way to slowly discharge a LiPo down to 0v. Perfect for when it’s time to retire a battery and render it safe for most recycling centers. Simply plug the battery you wish to completely discharge. Once the LED goes out, the battery is at 0v."

Easy and Safe to Use

"I've been using it for over a month now to safely discharge a bunch of old lipos that are no longer in use. It is a slow process, but this little lipo killer is still going strong."

Q&A

I used my lipo killer to bring the voltage down to 3 V fro a 5S battery. Seemed to work ok. I have a second new 5S battery that arrived with cell 1 at “0” V and the other 4 cells at storage voltage approx 3.82V. I connected the lipo killer and after 2 days the voltages were the same and it appears that one fuse link has melted. Is this repairable or is the device toast? Any help is appreciated.
