"It uses an odd connector for charging, other than that it’s great."

So far so food

"It may have had D8 mode until I updated the firmwhare, I did not think to make a mental note. But I know it doesn't now. Open TX legacy firmware is not to forthcoming on saying which version has it or not. I dont like the 7.2 volt set up, the battery does not last as long as the 11 volt in my original Taranus. Still radio is nice, no crashes because of failure, old Tarranis I did lose a plane by accidently turning it off, so new hold down button is great, love the case and being able to keep the radio is nice condition. My old one is like 6 or 7 years old and it shows it without having a case. It has hot glued antenna to scrapes and scratches from being tossed around in my SUV. But it still works and can be used with my old D8 Rxs. So yeah getting upgrade was a no brainer."

Kenneth K. (5/5)

Works great and easy to

"Works great and easy to charge with existing drone gear. Only qualm is it is slightly thinner than the original so it rattles around very slightly in the battery compartment but it doesn't bother me much."

Grat battery for the X9D

"I use the X9D Mr Steele edition and this battery is smaller than what I've been using but provides plenty of power."

Patrick L. (5/5)

Nice transmitter battery for X9D

"Good replacement battery. Fit my old taranis x9d perfectly. Maybe xt30 connector instead of xt60."

Q&A

Should I plug the balance lead or discharge lead into the Taranis?
The longer JST connector should work for you; not the balance lead. Have a great day!
How do I charge it? I am a noob to this sport
You would charge this as a normal lipo. 2s at 2.5a
Will this work for a pre-2019 Tarnis X9D Plus? Thanks!
Yes it will!
