Best sub 250 FPV plane

"This plane came in at 239 grams with Caddix vista Spectrum RX and a 660 4s RDQ battery.....It flies super quiet, fast and slows down for landing"

Fast and fun

"Great plane, fast and fun. A little fast for beginners, but great for FPV. Definitely put a gyro inside."

More assembly required than expected

"I was a little disappointed when I opened my Flying Fish and saw that none of the FPV components had been installed yet! The description said all parts come installed, no need to solder, but this is very wrong. Only the ESCs main board was setup, everything else was scattered through many different parts bags. This was a minor setback, but it was actually kind of fun to put together. You will need a soldering iron to install the VTX though. I soldered the positive and negative VTX wires to the main battery lead. Everything else has plug-in connectors on it. If you've ever built a quadcopter then you'll have no issues with the electronics, it's all very self explanatory. I have no idea how the FPV camera is suppose to be mounted. I suppose you could use a dab of hot glue to keep it in place, I ended up using some of the included double sided tape to stick mine to the front of the plane. I wish this had come preinstalled so I wouldn't have to guess. The assembly instructions are stupidly vague and do not even mention the camera. Don't forget to pick up a RC plane receiver with this. It's different from a quadcopter receiver! It has to have multiple sets of pins for connecting all the different components, 3 pins per channel. I went with a BetaFPV ELRS PWM receiver that seems to be working well and fits inside the tiny compartment on this plane. Setting this up in my TX16S transmitter was not too hard. Just use the new model wizard and make sure you plug each component into the correct channel on the receiver according to what the wizard suggests. Invert the channels if your movement is backwards and you're good to go! Not sure how this performs in the sky yet, I've just built the thing moments ago. I'm hoping that I don't smash it to pieces tomorrow at the park. Wish me luck!"
