BetaFPV has stepped it up a notch with their new 1 Watt Express LRS transmitter! Compared with 500mW versions, it not only has a built-in cooling fan but also the heat sink is included, which enhances the performance of cooling. So this module can work properly in daily use with no need to worry about temperature.
Note: Please assemble the antenna before power on. Otherwise, the PA chip in the Micro TX module will be damaged permanently.
Note: Please DO NOT use 3S or above battery to power up the TX module via XT30 port. Otherwise, the power supply chip in the TX module will be damaged permanently.
Note: Please do not turn on all DIP switches at the same time.
BETAFPV Micro TX Module ELRS V2.0.0 firmware is published. The firmware does not include the Binding Phrase. So please make sure the receiver works on officially major release V2.0.0 protocol and no Binding Phrase set.
Support 5D buttons and the OLED menu with the official ELRS 2.0.0 release.
The color of the LED changes automatically according to the system status.
Other new and various features are fully synchronized with the official ELRS 2.0.0.
When entering OLED menus page with long pressing, the connection between RF TX module and receiver works normally. Please do not change the Pkt Rate, otherwise, you must re-power the receiver.
You could all use the ELRS offical firmware V2.0-RC2 now, but lost the function of OLED and Joystick. We will work with the ELRS dev team and make the ELRS official firmware support the full function of the Micro TX Module. For the milestone, OLED will be supported in the V2.1 officially.
The BetaFPV 1 Watt ELRS Micro 2.4GHz RC Transmitter Module offers impressive performance with a built-in cooling fan and heat sink, ensuring reliable operation. Reviews
Excellent features for the price.
"This is the second 1watt betafpv elrs module I have. I needed a second for my travel remote. I received it, and immediately flashed it via uart to 3.3.2 flashed successfully within a few min. The only thing I will say is on my first one the fan ended up cracking because I had the fan threshold set to high. You really want to go into the lua, and set the fan threshold to 10mw so the fan constantly runs. This should keep the fan from getting heated up by the internal heatsink, and cracking. The fan is easily to find and replace. This module has been working exactly as it should. No complaints."

Nice module works great
"Works as intended. Would be nice if there was a way to hold an auxiliary battery for the xt30 port."

Module arrived and worked out
"Module arrived and worked out of the box. I was slightly annoyed with it's update firmware process and having to flip the dip switches."

Works fine
"Works fine"

Works well
"Works well, has great range, flashes easily with 3.0. It a little power hungry, so the external battery option is convenient. Glad to have it for my long range setups."

Q&A
I have a Taranis X9D Plus, and was wondering if 1, I could use this with the radio that I have, and 2. (bit more complicated question) I'm going to be replacing the backplate on my Taranis, meaning I would have to re-solder the antenna cables to the new backplate. Would I be able to just use this instead of the built in antenna that comes with my Taranis?
Yes I have the same setup and it works. As far as the backplate goes, I haven’t done that modification to my taranis but if you want to be able to use the protocols that come stock on your taranis, you will need that antenna anytime you are not using the ELRS module.
Where do i put the lua script? In the radio SD card script folder? or does it actually get uploaded to the BETAFPV 2.4ghz micro TX module?
Go watch Joshua Bardwell on YouTube, he’s got great step by step video for these things.
will this fit in a tx12?
Yes it will
Does this fit in the module bay for the TBS tango 2?
No this will not. You’ll need a smaller ELRS module.
