Description

The props for this BNF press fit on and do not screw into the motor (much like many other Whoops & Toothpicks)

The Darwin Baby Ape has been loved by many pilots as soon as it was published. In order to design a better FPV drone, DarwinFPV upgraded the Baby Ape based on the pilots' feedback and launched the BabyApe Pro V2.

Darwin made several upgrades to the frame. First of all, nylon standoffs are upgraded to aluminum alloy standoffs, which strengthens the frame and stables structure.

Second, they added the receiver fixing bracket.

Third, they upgraded the arms. The arms are upgraded from 4 individual arms (2.5mm thickness) to 2 integrated arms (3.0mm thickness). It is easier to disassemble, sturdy, and durable.

Lastly, the V2 version only needs 4 screws to fix, and the arm can be replaced by removing 2 screws without removing the whole drone.

Make sure to check out all of our BNF quads as well as the rest of our DarwinFPV selection!

Insanely good deal

"I am new to Darwinfpv products and I regret not messing with them earlier. The possibilities with this little guy are endless. Throw on a 2s for effortless cruising and cinematography, or go full send with a 3s. It responds. It's budget, but you will get more than what you pay for. DO NOT UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE WITHOUT RESEARCH"

Pretty good

"Flys great"

Thomas I. (5/5)

Flew amazingly until the VTX died 5 days in

"It was a fun, quick flier. With a 550 3s I was getting 5-8 minutes of flight time and was going way faster than the cars on the 40 mph highway nearish where I fly. Unfortunately the VTX died between battery changes. In the process of getting it repaired but it's a shame it only lasted 5 days. I really look forward to flying it again soon, it's a great park ripper."

"Flys great for the price you can't beat the fun you can get out of it"

Great!

"Such a great drone! Shipped well! I put a new nano xfire module in it and immediately smashed it into a post cause I was having too much fun.. lol"

Justin M. (5/5)

Looks good to me.

"I haven’t flown it yet. It looks good and feels solid, with the gyro very close to the static balance point of the quad. Analog Tiny Whoops have been my FPV camera views to date, so I’m pretty happy with the quality of the camera on this."

Howard B. (4/5)

Its a good beginner drone but not very durable

"I would reccomed this drone for anyone willing to invest more money to fix it. I have ended up replacing every part of it now except for the camera. :)"

Ryan K. (4/5)

Fun little quad. Light and

"Fun little quad. Light and quiet for neighborhood flying. Could use a better tune and the camera isn't the best. But the price is great. I get 12+ flights with a 850mah 3s battery."

Nick D. (5/5)

Baby ape

"Great little drone love to rip this little guy."

Edward L. (5/5)

Flaky VTX and little to no help from RDQ and DarwinFPV

"VTX was set to 200mw from the factory. Range was sub par at that point. Set to 25mw for a local race and I can barely get any video signal right next to the quad. I tried a different antenna and there wasn't much improvement. RDQ had me send photos and a video, which they shared with DarwinFPV, but the only response I got was a request to try to load a text file into BF, which appears to be the exact same setting that I came with from the factory. Reviews of this quad online have been reasonably good, but my experience has been anything but positive at this point."
