Reviews

EMAX's TH2 FS is a

"EMAX's TH2 FS is a wonderful small quad that's perfect in one's transition from learning FPV on whoops to flying performant 5" builds. Bonus: My unit came with a newer / more powerful VTX than advertised. Pro tip: Do use the included fasteners to bolt the props to the motors. Things may feel tight enough without the bolts, but you'll eventually experience an inflight prop sep without them."

Previously gave this 5 stars, now it should be 2 stars - too many issues

"A lot of people come on here and give it 5 stars because they just got it and love it. When it works it's great. But mine came dead, then got another one, FC on the AIO died, then got the one I have now, that worked great for 1 month then died. Look at the reviews, many even admit they got bad boards that had to be replaced. Clearly a quality control issue going on. Too high a failure rate"

The quad is awesome this

"The quad is awesome this is my 2nd one I broke my 1st one after a good solid hard beatings! Had to get another one and enjoy it again. This thing is tough!! Highly recommend it!! I switched over to a XT30 and got 2s batteries and it’s great. Really can’t say anything more just that u should definitely get it!"

Raquel R. (5/5)

Excellent beginner quad

"I bought two of these for myself and my nephew. We both flew extensively in angle/horizon mode but had no experience in acro mode. We both quickly switched to acro mode with this quad. As far as a niobite can tell, it brings an excellent tune out of the box. Have the receiver antenna coming out the back for better range. We're getting about 4-4:30 minutes per flight on two 1S batteries. Get the parallel 1S charger to make your life simpler"

Edgardo R. (5/5)

Great drone!

"Love it so far, it's been a great little flyer, having lots of fun with it. Battery time is great, it's quiet and does pack a punch. This is my first fpv drone. Definitely won't be my last. I've already added some 3D printed parts and swapped the props with gemfans!"

Arturo A. (5/5)

Great beginner quad

"Great beginner quad if you’re interested in racing and freestyle. Buy extra batteries though because 2 will last you 4 minutes if you’re spending a lot of time at over half throttle."

Ryan B. (5/5)

Love the Tiny Hawk II Freestyle, but confusing gift card

"The Tiny Hawk II Freestyle is as great as all the reviews I have watched/read. It ZIPS and is very durable. It's also great that it uses 1s whoop batteries that I already own. Getting the gift card is weird. You need to add a $20 gift card to this order, although it already says "with gift card". When I did this, the initial total just was $20 MORE, but I failed to see that they deducted it further down so I didn't add it. Once the package arrived with no card, I emailed support, was admonished for not following the confusing directions, but then they credited my account for the price of the card. Why not just make the sale automatic rather than relying on confusing directions and burdening support?"

Thomas D. (4/5)

Came with a bad FC.

"Came with a bad FC. But EMAX replaced it, took two weeks. Been flying the TH II now and I've crashed dozens of times and this thing keeps going. Love this quad"

Stephanie C. (5/5)

What more could you ask for.

"Super awesome 2.5" freestyle quad in my opinion. I've been out of the fpv hobby for about two years now and just picked this up to scratch that FPV Itch that has never went away. It's not a 5" but it feels really awesome. You can carry this easily and get a quick flight in a lot easier than a 5"."

Great idea, Bad Flight Controller

"Be careful with this one. The fc is touchy AF. One light crash in grass and mine was dead. Too bad because I absolutely love the original tinyhawk and bought one for a few friends. If they fix the fc issues, I’ll buy more. Until then I’m just going to Frankenstein this tinyhawk freestyle frame into a decent quad 🤞"

Q&A

Will this quad bind to the tinyhawk 3 freestyle rtf controller?
I do not think so but you may want to reach out to BetFPV to be sure.
can you mount a gopro or some sort of camera on it?
This quad will be too small to carry any GoPro camera. With custom 3D printing, you may be able to carry a RunCam Thumb, although this may cause performance loss.
Will this work with a fully updated 4n1 Jumper T Lite? If not can you point me in right direction.
Yes this will pair with the Jumper T-lite in "Frsky" D8 mode.
Would this work with a Jumper T Lite 4n1. I've seen D8 mode I think on there. Some of the new frsky access stuff confuses me. I've seen some people need to do a firmware downgrade?!?
ACCST and ACCESS are the incompatible parts of Frsky. Some of their receiver's can be downgraded to run as ACCST like the R-XSR.
Will this drone work with the Emax E6 controller?
Yes it does work with the e6 controller but you have to re configure in betaflight by going to customer support and then finding the stuff for tinyhawk freestyle 2. There is a legit YouTube video step by step and it's super easy!!!
If I am getting Fat Shark Attitude v6 with this quad, what antennae’s should I get for the headset to work best with this?
Don’t know this is my first quad
