Reviews

Great company to work with!

"Great company to work with! Very responsive and helpful!"

Fantastic setup, easy to connect!

"Fantastic setup, easy to connect! Spent quite a bit of time changing the throttle sensitivity. Maybe because we're brand new, it was hard, and my boys got pretty frustrated. I flew quite a bit and got the hang of it, but couldn't hover....just staying still was really tough....if you were on the move, fine. Durable."

EMAX TinyHawk II Micro Beginner Review

"This has been a really fun kit for my son and I to learn how to fly our first drone. It is a challenge to be sure. The plastic frame is incredibly durable. If there is one knock on the setup, it is that you'll be crashing a lot in the beginning and the screws on the camera and propellers tend to fall out. I would suggest purchasing a few sets of extra batteries, propellers and a TinyHawk II hardware kit with all the extra screws you'll need to repair and get back up in the air right away."

Awesome little drone my nephew

"Awesome little drone my nephew loves it"

The service provided by GetFpv is outstanding

"The service provided by GetFpv is outstanding. I'm not sure how to rate the TinyHawk, since I am a beginner and it's still really hard for me to control it. I guess for a micro-sized anything that flys, it flys really well."

FRANK S. (5/5)

Great beginner drone. I crashed

"Great beginner drone. I crashed it over a hundred times and in water and it still works like new"

Josh C. (5/5)

Great starter drone

"Great drone for a starter. Previously, I have used whoops with brushed motors from a couple years back. These brushed motors, OSD, and flight characteristics are significantly better than the entry whoops from a couple years back. Great service from GetFPV"

David L. (5/5)

The controller and the hawk

"The controller and the hawk itself fire up and fly beautifully thought instructions for charging and arming are sparse. But those goggles are really only usable if you have a child-sized face. There are interior walls that prevent your eyes from even seeing the outermost edges of the screen (My IPD is 68) and the focus adjuster has such a narrow range of motion that there is little you can do to adapt to it."

Bryan F. (3/5)

Great product

"Very happy with everything. Great for practicing indoors and keeping pets and family members on their toes. Surprisingly durable and good video transmission through walls. Definitely worth getting some extra 450 mAh batteries."

Rob S. (5/5)

The first set I received

"The first set I received had a pair of goggles that where faulty but thank you to getFPV support team (representative Pam specifically) and EMAX for resolving the issue. Will purchase again!! Good to have customer service that cares!"

Q&A

Does this come with a 50 dollar gift card? The reviews seem say so.
Mine did not.
How often does this get restocked? It is out of stock.
Usually they are really fast at restock guve it a couple of days and they ahould be back
A beginner for FPV, Just got this drone... Any body can help me with the 101 setup? Ty
Hey, I recently purchased on of these and found EMax's site to be very helpful. I have linked it below which includes access to the manual as well as the CLI dump file, which I have had to do a few times when I messed up setting customization. https://emaxusa2.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/19000108757-tinyhawk-ii-rtf-bnf-manual-firmware-cli-binding This is a link to a good video of the initial setup that I used as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL9e9FU8C_I&t=363s
Is this drone recommended for outside use and for beginners?
I bought this drone because it was recommended as a beginner drone, especially if you buy the RTF bundle. So far I've taken it for several spins around the parking lot and lawn around my apartment and it has survived several dives into the asphalt. I would recommend getting more S1 (single-cell) LiPo batteries with at least 450mAh capacity, since one at full charge will only last you 3-4min depending on outside conditions and speed.
What is the flight time?
3-5 minutes depending on your style of flight
Is the latest version of The ready to fly bundle coming through with solder on motor leads or the newer plug-in motors?
The RTF kits come with the motors soldered on because this allows for higher amp draw allowing for a more responsive flight.
