They're certainly motors.
"They work but they aren't the best for their size weight or price. Also seem to burn out a lot, and try to lock you in by using a proprietary prop that goes over the bell instead of the shaft."

Perfect Replacement motors TH III
"After flying this Tinyhawk III like a 5 inch freestyle I was beginning to think I wouldn't have to replace a thing, they are tough. As I pushed it way past what is supposed to do I finally blew a motor, however I think it was from turtle flipping not normal flight and acro. These replacements are spot on and RDQ delivers everytime."
