Amazing Antennas!

"For anyone going to buy these antennas, make sure you have an SMA Male to RP-SMA Female Adapter to go with them like I did. Since these antennas are RP-sma, make sure that the pigtail you're connecting the antenna to is male(has a tiny pin in the connector of pigtail cable). Otherwise, I'd strongly recommend getting the adapter. Without the adapter, the signal from the vtx will not pass through to the antenna as there is no pin from both the pigtail and the antenna. These antennas are amazing if you followed my advise."

Sturdy and easily replaced

"Great antenas"

Major disappointment

"I bought these because my new quad lost it's antenna mid-flight... yeah crash in a grassy meadow. I thought these would be great, installed one ( using loctite as well for insurance), got about 2 minutes into a flight over my development, I lost transmission sporadically , very bad , the only saving grace was I was careful in my flight pattern from the start, and luckily got a signal or two long enough to orient the crash path along the side of the road. luckily no damage to anything but the quad, but damage nonetheless. tried another flight, but it was too flaky and I shelved the quad until I had more time to study it, thinking the vtx might be in err. When I had more time, I flew it some more but again, poor image with limited distance, so I switched with the other new antenna, out of the box. Fly again with similar results. that night I realized the antenna, though fixed to the mounting, was still able to rotate, as though it was loose. This seemed like a problem, so I took a known and flight tested antenna from another quad, flew it the next day... BAM! my new quad, which I had no confidence in flew like a champ. I GOT A PAIR OF CRAP ANTENNAS, BRAND NEW WHICH LED TO A DAMAGING CRASH TO MY NEW QUAD. Not to mention an embarrassing amount of time trying to locate it until I saw someone holding it from a distance away. I suppose I cannot buy foxeer again in confidence, as these definitely left the factory as bad product."

Accedently got the RP-SMA but fixed that easily

"Copper wire from TV antenna cable filed a round point on one end, very lightly tinned the other, inserted and heated with soldering iron. Wolla. Do these make a difference, not really. Next time I would go longer for both quad and goggles. What I am finding is that longer antennas, better electronic designs, and etc, have a much larger impact than the antenna design. Because of all the other variables, it's hard to judge without electronic analytic equipment. No significant difference that I was hoping for."
