Description

The 900MHz R9 MM-OTA receiver implements the ACCESS protocol and brings the user improved performance and features. The R9 MM-OTA supports wireless firmware updates over the air making binding to receivers even easier. As well as the convenience of checking the current receiver firmware version. The R9 MM’s compact form factor design is also carried over to the OTA version, and the R9 MM-OTA supports inverted S.Port as well.

This receiver is compatible with the new release R9M Lite Pro module, and the other 915MHz modules will also be supported when the ACCESS firmware is available.

We also carry the R9 Mini OTA receiver if you prefer redundancy function instead of inverted S.Port.

Works great!

"Updated with ACCST through my X9D. Easy. Downloaded the firmware from FRSKY, put it on the flash card of the X9D, and updated the RX. (Wired) Flew 1 mile first flight with older R9M module. Awesome!!"

Excellent Receiver

"I use these on just about all of my quads from 2.5 inch all the way up to 6 inch. They work excellent and I have been able to go out 1.5 miles with it and no problems. I have also installed 2 of them in my plane that work together to give me a redundancy setup but I have not finished my plane yet but I have no doubt they will work very well."

STEPHEN S. (5/5)

Binds up super easy but

"Binds up super easy but had to update the firmware on the transmitter (r9m lite pro) and the r9 mini before it would actually work. The OTA function makes the whole process fairly painless and the reception is great."

Great once you get it

"People seem to hate on r9 because crossfire is apparently magic, but once I figured out how to flash the firmware, R9 works just great.. A little learning curve shouldn't scare people from this hobby."

Honest review: Not a big

"Honest review: Not a big fan of these but because of the amazing people and service from RDQ a bad experience became one of the better ones I've had in the hobby. The good part about R9 is that if your very patient and have the time it can save you money but... getting the setup right is tricky and the reason for this is the firmware and Frsky going proprietary all of a sudden with this product mid stream (making firmware a huge headache and somewhat confusing) It fly's awesome and is very reliable but you will have to read up on this one to get it going."

Awesome range and now with

"Awesome range and now with the access firmware setup is easy"

AMAZING LITTLE THING

"So far, so good.. I haven’t done a long range tested it yet. Using around power lines without any issue. At A distance of 250 yards, 500mw, rssi barely budged. This thing is amazing.. I’m new to quads.. and have been out of the hobby for 10 years. I cannot believe how small this thing is and what it’s capable of. It’s the size of a postage stamp. Lol.. Paired with r9m module.. and all kinds of telemetry,,, fan-tastic!.. very happy."

Q&A

Is this Compatible with the Taranis Q7S or do i have to buy a mod to bind it?
You'll need an external R9 Module in order to bind to this receiver. Happy flying!
Jumper T18 and the R9MM OTA receiver: This does work if you have the T18 with the internal 5 and 1 multi-module. The Frsky R9MM OTA module can be flashed with the ACCT firmware (this was my first time flashing receiver firmware, but I was able to do it). I have this in Tyro 119 and have successfully flown it. There is a downside to flashing with the ACCT firmware, you cannot use OTA for updates.
This will work with the 5 in 1 versions of the T18 with the ACCST firmware installed.
Anybody get this to work with the Jumper T18?
Yes you can, but you will need the Frsky R9M module to do so.
Can this be mounted on a quadcopter?
From one noob to another, i believe thats exactly what it's intended use is, however i suppose it could be mounted on anything with the proper hardware.
Is this receiver compatible with old R9 module (ACCST)?
Yes, it works. I have flashed the Accst flex firmware on it.
Is this able to be flashes with the accst firmware? And will it work with the older non 2019 version of the r9m?
This cannot be flashed with ACCST, and will not work with ACCST versions of the R9 Module.
