Gemfan Flash 4052 Tri-Blade 4" Prop 4 Pack - Choose Your Color

This is a race prop. Very few people fly freestyle on 4 inch. And while this prop has a lot of potential, it's not quite there yet... at least from a race perspective.

4 inch quads are very inefficient. Even with 2204 motors, you need a more efficient prop. For racing, on 4S you really need a motor of a kv of around 2800 - 3300kv for 4 inch. On 5s it's 2300kv - 2500kv or so. Ideally, you want a prop that works on 1507, 1606 & 1804 motors. Right now, the most suitable prop is the DAL T4045 V2. But it's getting old and durability is not very good... but it's lightweight and has the correct pitch. The hub on the Gemfan 4052 is too tall. It barely fits the motors we need it to fit. It's too heavy and too high pitch.

5.2 pitch is WAY too high even for a race prop, on 4 inch. It's killing every battery setup I try. On 4S, you need to have no more than a 1000mah pack... Same on 5S. In fact, 5S should be no more than 850mah. Otherwise the rig is too heavy and you might as well be on 5 inch. The perfect balance on 4 inch is very tight.

The Gemfan 4 inch prop should be something like a 4.6 pitch. A little lighter and the blades slightly narrower. Gemfan, please, please, please make this prop. The 4 inch market needs a revision to the 4052 that will work in real world racing. The reason the 4052 doesn't sell well is because of the reasons above. I've had this discussion with various 4 inch pilots. We are all looking for a solution.

I got a set of blue and clear props hoping they would be a little more efficient than my 4/4.5 3 bull nose props but have not notice a increase of efficiency. Also I was getting more vibration I lowered p gains no help when I got home I put them on my mag balancer found them to be out of balance and not just a little. I don't think we should have to balance props this day in age.

AWSOME props use them on my 4 inch with 1806 2350 kv berry nice props will buy again
