Nice controller but. . .

"I like the controller now that I've got it installed but it would be nice if it had SCL and SDA solder pads for connecting a GPS compass and you should list somewhere on your site that in order to use the the barometer you need to add BARO_DPS310 to the custom Betaflight defines for it to work since the BARO_BMP280 is included by default in newer Betaflight versions, throws build errors if defined, and DOES NOT work by itself. I finally found the proper info on the Chinese Happymodel site."

CrazyF405 failure

"Booted up the FC with a smokestopper in series with the battery and all was good with everything plugged in. Removed the smokestopper to configure the motor directions and immediately saw smoke. Likely one of the ESC burnt up since I could detect a short when one of the motors was plugged in, but no short when it was unplugged. Tried to replace that motor with two others and all of them produced a short on my multimeter when plugged in. Ended up ordering another one so we will see if it ends up just being one bad egg. But not hopeful on longevity since I've seen other reports of ESC issues on this AIO."

Great FC for a Sturdy Whoop

"I've been trying to find an FC for HD whoop builds and this thing is just about perfect. Decent price, 12A ESCs, 2A 5V BEC, Serial ELRS, 8mb blackbox, F405 MCU instead of an F411, BMI270 gyro instead of an ICM, and even a BMP280 barometer, and still sub 5 grams. [Plus no added weight for an uneeded OSD chip]. The only thing I'd like to see on the next version would be the addition of removable motor connectors to support direct soldering to help shave weight when needed. That all said, this things basically a beefy/improved CrossF4 made for HD builds, and is currently my go to."
