Description

The iFlight 5V/12V Step Down Micro BEC features high-efficiency synchronous rectification and the ability to step down from a wide input voltage range of 2-8S(5-36V) and provide a lower stable output voltage. It's an incredibly compact solution for still being able to provide 3 amps at 5 volts, and 2 amps at 12 volts.

For those looking for something even smaller and only needing 5V 2A output from 3-6S input, may we suggest the iFlight 3-6S Micro 5V 2A BEC.

Good size easy to solder to.

"Good size easy to solder to."

Easy to install and does its job

"The built-in BEC on my flight controller fell off during a crash which made the FC only power up completely when connected via USB. I wired up this BEC and was able to fix the problem and save the FC. If you ever have a similar problem, this part will do the job for $6 rather than $65+ for a new FC."

Works as expected

"Simple way to convert to 12V"

Michael H. (5/5)

One star if I could

"These boards claim 8S capable but instantly pop and smoke when powered with 8S."

Bad customer service

"Race day quads lied to me"

Alex R. (1/5)

Perfect!

"Used this to make a field vtx cooling fan. I have a 12 v fan with this inline so I can run it off my 4-6s flight packs."

Ian M. (5/5)

Just what I needed!

"I was looking for a small, inexpensive way to power a standalone camera/vtx from a Lipo battery. This fits the bill in a small package with the option to provide 5V or 12V power. I bought a few so I have them handy for future projects."

Ryan H. (5/5)

I will not install a

"I will not install a VTX without one on the power. Helps regulate power output."

Harold I. (5/5)

Worked great

"Shipped quickly. Works as advertised. Installation was easy on a scratch built dlg glider with a 2s lipo because my servos were only rated for 5v. I didn’t actually test the output but it worked great. I was pleasantly surprised by the tiny size"

Must have when dealing with

Q&A

can this step up voltage as well or only step down? Can I use a 4s liion to get steady 12v output or no?
Yes, 4s will put out a steady 12 volts.
"It's an incredibly compact solution for still being able to provide 3 amps at 5 volts, and 2 amps at 12 volts." And under specifications it says BEC Output: 5V/2A, 12V/3A (default 5V/2A). Is this a typo?
Yes it is. The default voltage is 5v.
