"Outstanding Developer Kit – Long Flight Times, GPS, and Highly Moldable!. The NewBeeDrone Lion B Developer Kit has easily become one of my absolute favorite FPV drones to fly. It offers an incredible foundation right out of the box, but where it truly shines is its feature set, power efficiency, and how well it handles customization. One of the best design choices on this quad is that it runs on a standard 18650 battery. Being able to easily swap out a fresh cell in the field means zero downtime, and the long run time you get out of a single pack is fantastic for extended cruising. Having the built-in GPS feature is also absolutely awesome—it gives a huge peace of mind when pushing the distance, making it incredibly handy for tracking and recovery if you ever find yourself in a tight spot. I've put this kit through its paces and made a few personal modifications to fit my style. After a rough landing, I had to swap out the broken stock antenna, and I also decided to upgrade the camera to a slightly larger Caddx Baby Ratel 2 for better visual clarity. Because the original camera mount was a bit cumbersome to work with, I used my 3D printer to design and print a custom mount. The frame layout accommodated these modifications beautifully, making the hardware swap clean and straightforward. If you love a highly capable setup that lets you tweak, print custom parts, and enjoy massive flight times with premium features like GPS rescue, this developer kit is top-notch. It flies wonderfully, survives the learning curves, and gives you the exact flexibility you want from a DIY-friendly quad. Highly recommended!"
