"Before purchasing this i had tried 2 other soldering irons which weren’t considered “smart soldering irons”. Those struggled so badly that i was unable to get solder to stick to the battery pads but after purchasing this iron all those issues went away and its really easy to use plus its travel friendly with its compact size! Also make sure to buy a kit of soldering tips, it only brings one thats not great for the big pads like battery leads."

Great Iron
"I bought this iron after failing miserably with my old one. I upgraded from a real cheap iron I bought on Amazon. It was the best choice I could've made for my soldering. I use it hooked up to a DC adapter (bought a universal laptop charger from Walmart). I love this iron and could never go back to anything less."

"Even though this says 3 to 6s... I highly recommend 4s or higher. 6s is best, why? The higher the input voltage the faster this thing heats up! At 5s you can get up to 350 faster than my full sized digital soldering station that has its own power supply. This thing is easy to use! If you want to make your own cable, try using the very cheap barrel plugs from amazon or other stores. For some reason the barresl that have the little springs in them don't work so well, you want the cheap springless version, perfect fit! There is really nothing to complain about... this thing just work REALLY well!"
