Description

Introducing SpeedyBee's Master 5 V2 series, designed specifically for freestyle.

Designed to handle cinematic and freestyle flying, the SpeedyBee Master 5 V2 Frame Kit with Deadcat geometry, places the flight controller closer to the center of gravity than other DC frames. The innovative anti-vibration stack structure dampens the effect of motor noise on the gyro, offering a stabilized running environment. Quick-release design makes assembly and disassembly easy. The incorporated DJI O3 Air Unit configuration also supports ND filters and changeable side plate mounting. The TPU side plate inside the CNC part helps dampen the vibration on the camera, and pilots can modify it on their own to make it compatible with more mounting holes and get rid of vignetting for clear images.

Awesome Frame. Maybe the Best!

"This is an amazing frame. I can't say enough about it. They went the extra distance to provide everything needed to make a complete build. I'm very impressed. You will be able to mount a 6s battery and maintain a good center of gravity. The water resistant esc cover and the LED side covers protect the electronics from the mishaps of landing in wet ground or grass. Such a clean build. Don't think twice about getting this."

Great frame!

"Packaging was nice and fitment was excellent. The heatsink is a great addition and allows my O3 to idle waiting for a gps lock without overheating. The frame feels balanced during flight and turned out to be one of my fastest quads I’ve built to date."

It's a good frame, however

"It's a good frame, however the long lense on the Walksnail Avatar Pro camera sticks out just barely past the metal guards. If you crash squarely in the front you'll damage that camera. I got around that by making a couple of new holes further back on the mount. The mount is made in such a way that you can do this. It's even advertised as a feature. Another issue with the TPU camera mount and the Avatar Pro camera is that this camera doesn't like being soft mounted. I get jello in the picture. I'm currently holding the camera in a more solid manner with a few zip ties. Files for 3D printing the mount parts are available on the Speedybee website, so I'll likely end up printing these with a harder material and modifying it so that the holes are further back. Then it should work well with this camera."

Quality Build

"In my v1 review, I bashed the improper O3 air unit mounting, but it looks like SpeedyBee listens to feedback because it's fixed in this version, so I should give credit. This is probably one of the higher quality, cleanest general-purpose builds I have. Good attention to detail and quality machining on the carbon fiber with well-chamfered edges and countersinking that many designers cheap out on and hope people won't notice. A bit heavy so you'll want some beefier motors but it's very stable in the air."
