Description

The CineLog35 Frame developed by CEPRC for mounting GoPro cameras is now officially released.

CL35 is an improvement on the CL30 Cinelog30 frame. It supports the installation of mainstream AIO FC with 26.5mm x 26.5mm holes. The VTX installation hole is 20mm x 20mm, which can be directly installed with Vista HD image transmission. The propeller guard adopts an integrated design, and the overall structure is firmer. GEP also upgraded the power system and chose a 12mm x 12mm motor hole position. When compared to CL30, the CL35 can install a larger 15-18-20 series motor, with a 3.5-inch propeller, and it has stronger power output. They've improved the damping rings, the shooting effect is more stable and clearer and you can use 3D prints to install the GoPro 8, GoPro 9, and GoPro 10. Or use the base to install a naked GoPro 8, Insta360 GO2, or Caddx Peanut camera.

We pursue lighter body weight, better flying feel, and more extended functions.

The kit is nice, but.....

"The parts in this kit are nice, good fit and finish. The completed assembly seems to be well interlocked and robust. It was not hard to figure out the overall assembly, however..... This kit comes with absolutely zero assembly instructions. There is a mildly exploded view of the frame, but that is it. There are parts in this kit for which their intended use is not at all clear. When I approached Geprc about this, they linked me to a video that is an hour and forty-five minutes long. In this video, the person is just exchanging the electronics in a Cinelog 35 kit that he had already built. This video does not at all discuss the frame kit and its included components; it is an awful lot of fiddling around with stuff other than the frame kit. I was pretty disappointed that this is what the manufacturer is calling their frame assembly instructions! I have been searching around for some kind of information that describes the contents of the kit, and its intended purpose, but so far cannot find anything."

GepRC cinelog35 frame kit

"This is a truly game changer in cinewhoop, its capable of carrying a full size gopro which I don't own but I'm more into lightweight camera so I have chosen the runcam thumb and maybe will pick up the thumb pro next."

Improved take on a popular frame style

"Cinewhoops have been all the rage for almost two years now. They are insanely popular in the community, mainly to the new FPV enthusiasts. I love the idea of a dedicated aircraft designed to carry a full size GoPro and also provide a way to enclose the props so there is no inadvertent damage to objects or people. GEPRC seems to have found a seriously good formula for this with their Cinelog line. I chose the Cinelog 35 frame because I wanted something that was better than the iFlight Protek 35. While it is a good aircraft, it is SUPER heavy and can be very loud which attracts attention. The Cinelog 35 is designed to be both smaller and lighter while also being more nimble and powerful enough to get the job done. I already had the other parts required to build out the frame. Once I received it, in record time (thanks to GetFPV!), I started the build right away. This frame design is definitely better than what has come before it. I love that the prop guards are just that, prop guards. They are a molded plastic which hopefully means they will be more durable in case of a crash. The flight controller mounts to the bottom of the top plate while the Vista unit mounts to the top of the bottom plate. They are connected via 4 standoffs, keeping it simple. There is even a window built into the prop guards for your receiver of choice. so you can easily access it after it is installed and the entire quad is assembled. It's a very nice touch. I built mine out using a very similar spec to the BNF HD version that GEPRC makes, also available here at GetFPV. I used an AIO F7 flight controller with 45a ESCs (part of the AIO board). This frame allows for the use of one 25.5x25.5mm toothpick AIO board. Some will see that as a down side. I also went with 2004 series motors spinning the same D90 3 blade props GEPRC puts on their units. The assembly instruction sheet is more of a diagram and I feel like GEPRC kind of cheaped out on actual instructions. There are things that should definitely be installed first or even last. Still, it wasn't too hard to figure out where everything goes. In fact, they include a HUGE amount of hardware when you buy the frame kit allowing the customer to choose from analog or DJI HD. They include some cool 3D printed bits like an antenna holder for your receiver and VTX. It becomes a part of the frame once installed. So make sure you are paying attention to how it all goes together in case you have to do some trouble shooting before powering up or heading out for the maiden flight. This kit came with all of the bits I needed to build an HD version using a TBS Crossfire nano receiver and a Caddx Vista with Nebula Pro for my video. GEPRC did not scrimp on the hardware and you will have a lot left over even with installing everything to match their BNF/PNP version. There is one thing to remember. This is a cinewhooop. It's not a substiture for a 5 inch freestyle rig. While yes, it is possible to pull off some basic freestyle moves, it's not designed for that! If that is why you are buying this, please don't. Rethink your use case and buy accordingly."

Great Quality Frame

"Good frame for a bigger Cinewhoop. A little difficult to build in. A little complicated to put together but once you understand how it all fits, not a big deal. Prop guards broke on a pretty light crash. Kind of expected with a big cinewhoop, though. So get extras, at least they are cheap to replace."

Must have

"I never built a cine till this 1 and I legit feel way better flying a cine then a freestyle"
