Description

Long range and 360 degrees of coverage in one, the Sky Hammer is a true long range omni-directional antenna!  Designed by IBCrazy, the Sky Hammer utilizes a pair of high performance Minion Pro antennas precisely phased and impedance matched to achieve 5.25dbic of gain and 360 degrees of coverage.  The stacking and phasing takes the unused vertical coverage of a single antenna and pushes it outward along the horizon right where you need it.  While typically considered to be a receiver antenna, the Sky Hammer can be mounted on a long range quad for exploring places where other antennas simply cannot reach.

This might be a silly question, but is there any problem mounting this vertical? I have Headplay goggles with the SMA connector on the top.
You will have better reception using a 90 degree angle adapter with this.
If it's a long range antenna, well how far is long range? It doesn't say.
That depends on many factors, such as the video transmitter output power, the vtx antenna and orientation, elevation of the receiver antenna above ground, local rf noise and obstructions. It can also be used to transmit or receive and would perform differently in each role. [This](http://www.maxmyrange.com/) is a pretty handy calculator for rough estimates, and [this](https://www.truerc.ca/news/rf-link-budget-2) is a great article on link budget. Being an omni antenna, it doesn't receive as far in a single direction as a directional antenna. As an RX antenna I'd say 2 to 4 miles.
