Great portable glider for beginners

"Great portable glider for beginners and relaxed flying. I got the FPV version. Pros: - Really well designed portability. The wings and horizontal tail attach with a single thumbscrew and are held in place really well. The spar comes off with a little rotating lock and the servo horn linkages need to be removed. - Reasonably big internal space with a good GPS mount. You could probably fit a matek wing FC if you really tried. - Strong magnets on hatches. - Stable control, and glides amazingly. It is hard to land only because even at no throttle to doesn't want to come down! - Camera is really nice, I don't fly long range but the quality was great short range and no breakup at all even with a few other pilots on other channels. - Good flight time, I got 15-20mins on a 3s 550 and could probably get much longer on an 850 pack. - cg marks worked well for me. I have seen others say that it should be a little forward of the cg marks but that felt quite nose heavy to me. Cons: - To my complete surprise, the only thing I have broken so far was the carbon fiber tube. To be fair I was flying it proximity, but it was a slow crash and the plane is light enough I can't imagine much impact force. Maybe I got a bad tube but this was surprising considering the rest of the plane is completely intact. - I wish zohd would just make their kopilot lite inav/ardupulot compatible. Setting it up was a pain with the included potentiometer panel. I still can't get it to let me fly full manual, only stabilized and rth (although both those modes work well)."

"ZOHD Drift Glider is awesome, it was easy to put together and setup. Comes with everything you need minus a receiver and transmitter to get in the air, even an FPV camera. It’s my first wing and it’s obvious I need lots of help figuring out how to fly it but I will get it down."

Not enough space to do anything

"I couldn't find a flight controller I could fit in here without scraping out foam. Even the servo connectors are practically too bulky. People claim to be flying this with 3 li-ion cells but I couldn't even get 2 to fit. There is a hole for an FPV cam. Good luck, you'll be strapping your FPV stuff to the top in order to fit any battery at all. Really disappointed. Only got it flying with a tiny lipo and no flight controller. It flew quite well! But I got bored pretty fast taking this in figure 8s around the park."

Q&A

Does this package include a FPV camera and autopilot?
This does not come with a camera or auto pilot. This is flyable out of box, but need to have FPV added to it, and would also need a flight controller added for autopilot.
